After proactively self-learning Softimage software on SGI machines during an internship at Olive Jar Animation Studios, I signed on for a short-term contract to produce 3D animation for an upcoming project for Universal Studios.
After designing, creating and animating 3D icons for a mock video game featured in a short commercial project for Coca-Cola Japan using Adobe Illustrator and Softimage|3D, I began work on the Universal Studios project, the pre-ride show for the Hulk Roller Coaster at Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure theme park.
I designed, created and animated abstract interstitial scenes, title sequences and scientific elements for the project using Adobe Photoshop and Softimage|3D. After completing the assigned shot list early, I also collaborated directly with the project director to create two animated environment scenes, a tunnel and a hallway, that are featured very prominently in the final film.
